Accepting Destiny
Twig lays on the ground, not far from the tree
The tree hovers over it, growing in majesty
The twig separated, its journey alone has begun.
It shows no emotion, it shows no despair.
It lays in the silence, knowing it was meant to be there.
A pigeon pecks the soil nearby, looking for food.
Twig could easily have been a good addition to its home.
But twig lays quietly accepting its fate.
My dear twig, thank you for showing me
God helps if we are open and trust him,
And let him form us to what and who we are meant to be.
Out there, the world moves on, as it should be
Not realising the great miracle happening in front of me.
So thank you little twig, for being there for me.
