GATHERING PRAYER: Lord our God, we come to you today asking for your guidance, wisdom, and support as we begin our IRMU Meeting. Help us to engage in synodal dialogue; enable us to grow closer as a group and nurture the bonds of community. Fill us with your grace, as we listen, reflect and dialogue in order to deepen our commitment to your mission. Continue to remind us that all that we do here for the next two weeks, all that we undertake, is in pursuit of your dream for the world, in the service of your ongoing creation, and for your greater glory. We ask these things in your name. Amen.

Enlarge the space of your tent, spread out your tent cloths unsparingly, lengthen your ropes and make firm your pegs.
PRAYERS
Open Heart
God, open up our hearts to be filled with love, open them up and fill them with faith and hope. Chase away our anxieties and fears. Open up our hearts so that we may do what you intend us to do: to love You with all our hearts, souls and minds, and to love all your creation. Chase away the strife between us and allow us to look at each other. Open up our hearts to mercy for each other and open up our hearts to peace.
Open Mind
We pray that we may at all times keep our minds open to new ideas and to the signs of the Spirit among us; that we may grow in our understanding of the nature of all living beings and our connectedness with each other; that we may become ever more filled with generosity of spirit, true compassion and love for all life.
Open Will
Lord God, you have taught us that you have a plan for each one of us and an even greater plan for all of us. Your hand guides our steps and provides us with all we need. Because you are good, you want only the best for us. Good and gracious God, we ask that your pathway will become manifest in our lives and in our commitment to mission. Help us to walk in the paths that you have laid out in front of us and lead us through the narrow gate.
Walking Together
O God, you walk with us through life. You strengthen us so that we might be your presence to others on the journey. Make us faithful traveling companions to each other during the IRMU Meeting, so that we may encourage, listen, soothe, discern, understand, dialogue and care for this group.
Come Holy Spirit: may you be the guide of our journey together!
