I agree with the previous comment. I can understand having a "news blackout" adds a sense of "specialness" of the event and to the participants but one could hardly call it a synodal approach. Was there a fear that updates to the membership might in some way negatively influence the process. I certainly did not appreciate continuous updates of photos of the event. Though the clip on different levels of listening was good. Thank you for all the effort put into the meeting.
It’s a shame that we were not updated on what was happening during the meeting - things relevant to our Society and mission. Instead we were kept in the dark and exposed to photos of dancing, painting, sitting around. If this and the final statement was what happened at the meeting, then an open and frank discussion is needed. Was it necessary to fly people around the world for this? I really do wonder!
